Jack Cork: 'Don't write Swansea City off'

Jack Cork urges Swansea City's critics not to write off the club in their hunt for Premier League survival.

Swansea City midfielder Jack Cork has told the club's critics that the team's chances of retaining their Premier League status should not be written off.

The Welsh outfit are currently 15th in the league table, four points above the relegation zone.

The team have managed to claim back-to-back victories since Francesco Guidolin was appointed as head coach, and Cork believes that Swansea could be at a turning point.

"It's not nice reading stuff like that, but it's always nice proving them wrong," Cork told the South Wales Evening Post. "We could see what people were saying and our form has not been good lately, but you can never write this team off.

"We've got some great players with great quality. Sometimes it's okay being the underdog because there's no pressure on you.

"I have seen what's been said about us and it's not nice. It makes you want to prove a point. It was looking quite bad after we lost to Sunderland, but two wins gives us six points and puts a completely different perspective on things."

Swansea's next game is against West Bromwich Albion on February 2.
