Swansea City boss Bob Bradley: 'I will challenge chairman Huw Jenkins'

New Swansea City manager Bob Bradley insists that he will "challenge" chairman Huw Jenkins as he does not want to let "everybody else make decisions".

New Swansea City manager Bob Bradley has insisted that he will "challenge" chairman Huw Jenkins as he is not a man who will keep quiet.

The 58-year-old was appointed by the Welsh outfit on Monday, immediately after Francesco Guidolin was sacked.

Bradley, who has become the first American coach to take charge of a Premier League club, says that he will not sit by and let his colleagues above him make all the decisions.

"I'm confident I can keep the team up, but it's always more than just keeping the team in the Premier League," Bradley told Sky Sports News.

"I think the squad is strong enough, but I think there needs to be regular dialogue about how to improve the squad. We've had early dialogue with Huw Jenkins and I appreciate his honesty and perspective. I really feel that the two of us will work well together.

"But he also knows I'm going to challenge him. I have ideas. I'm not someone to sit quietly and let everybody else make decisions. I believe in pushing the envelope a little bit and trying to challenge people for where we are, and get better."

Bradley's first game in charge will be a trip to face Arsenal on October 15.
