West Bromwich Albion reject second Saido Berahino bid from Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur see a second offer for Saido Berahino turned down by West Bromwich Albion.

West Bromwich Albion chairman Jeremy Peace has confirmed that the club has turned down a second offer from Tottenham Hotspur for Saido Berahino.

The North Londoners failed last week with a bid for the England Under-21 international, who handed in a transfer request at The Hawthorns yesterday in an attempt to force through a move.

However, Albion rejected Berahino's request and they have now also rebuffed an improved financial package from Spurs.

"Our position remains unchanged. The sale of this player is not on our agenda," Peace told the club's official website.

Berahino scored 20 goals in all competitions for the Baggies last term.
