Tottenham Hotspur reportedly plan to trigger the £24.9m option-to-buy clause in Juventus loanee Dejan Kulusevski's contract this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly preparing to trigger the option-to-buy clause in Dejan Kulusevski's contract.

The Juventus loanee has made an immediate impact in North London since arriving on loan in January and already has three goals and six assists to his name from 12 Premier League appearances.

Spurs possess the option to make Kulusevski's move permanent for a reported £24.9m at the end of the 2022-23 season, which could rise to £29.1m with various performance-related add-ons.

According to the Evening Standard, Spurs plan to trigger the £24.9m clause at the end of the current campaign, even though Kulusevski's loan deal runs until the summer of 2023.

The report adds that Spurs will avoid paying the higher fee if they activate the clause this summer, with one of the conditions for the £29.1m being that Antonio Conte's side qualify for the 2023-24 Champions League.

The 21-year-old is set to leave Juventus having made 74 appearances since arriving from Atalanta in January 2020, scoring nine goals and providing 10 assists for the Turin giants.
