Tim Sherwood in line for full-time head coach role at Tottenham Hotspur?

Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy reportedly tells Tim Sherwood that he is a contender for the full-time head coach position at White Hart Lane.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly considering offering the full-time head coach position to Tim Sherwood following the departure of Andre Villas-Boas.

The North London outfit confirmed last night that Sherwood has been named interim boss alongside Chris Ramsey and Les Ferdinand following the club's decision to part ways with Villas-Boas after one-and-a-half seasons.

While plenty of names have been linked with the permanent vacancy, chairman Daniel Levy has told Sherwood that he wants him to succeed Villas-Boas, as long as the team respond well in the next two games, according to the Daily Star.

Fabio Capello, Guus Hiddink and Michael Laudrup have also been touted as possible contenders for the role.
