Tim Sherwood delighted with Andros Townsend return

Tottenham Hotspur boss Tim Sherwood says that he is happy to have a fit-again Andros Townsend in his squad for the trip to Swansea City on Sunday.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Tim Sherwood has said that he is pleased to have winger Andros Townsend at his disposal once again following his return from injury.

The 22-year-old has been passed fit to face Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium tomorrow after a month-long absence from first-team duties due to a hamstring injury.

The England international starred in an Under-21 clash with Newcastle United during the week, where he scored once and bagged two assists, and Sherwood is happy to have a fit-again Townsend in his squad for Sunday.

"Andros had a quiet one on Tuesday," he told reporters. "We all know what he can do.

"He gives us a different dimension. He had a flying start to the season and we are happy to have him back in the squad."

Tomorrow's encounter is scheduled to kick off at 1:30 pm.
