Danny Rose expects Tottenham Hotspur response

Danny Rose urges his Tottenham teammates to get back to winning ways when they host Sunderland in the Premier League tonight.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose has called on his teammates to get back to winning ways when they host Sunderland in the Premier League tonight (Monday).

Spurs return to action this evening following last weekend's 4-0 defeat at Liverpool - a result that severely dented their hopes of Champions League qualification.

However, Rose hopes that a win over the Black Cats can help Tottenham have a strong finish to the campaign.

"It will be a tough game but we are still fighting ourselves to finish as high as we possibly can and we certainly want to respond following our last game against Liverpool. We were all disappointed both from a personal and a team perspective after that result," he told the club's official website.

"We haven't performed as well as we know we can at times and have been too inconsistent this season. But we have six matches left now, starting against Sunderland, all games which we believe are winnable and our target is go out and win all six, to finish the season as strong as possible."

Spurs are currently in seventh place in the table, eight points behind fourth-placed Arsenal.
