Hugo Lloris is adamant that Tottenham Hotspur will remain competitive at the top end of the Premier League next season regardless of how much they spend this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has insisted that he "does not really care" about the club's lack of transfer activity this summer

The Lilywhites are the only Premier League side yet to get off the mark in terms of arrivals, despite recently selling full-back Kyle Walker to Manchester City for £45m.

Lloris, himself linked with a move away from North London earlier this year, is confident that Tottenham will remain competitive in the top flight next season regardless of whether any money is spent by boss Mauricio Pochettino and chairman Daniel Levy.

"I don't really care about that, it belongs to the chairman and the manager," he told reporters. "I am committed and involved with my team and we trust each other.

"We trust each other. We're used to working together for a while now and we will be ready to be competitive again this season."

Spurs are currently in New York, where they are due to face Roma in the early hours of Wednesday morning in their second pre-season friendly.
