Vlad Chiriches prepared for tough Aston Villa test

Vlad Chiriches admits that Tottenham Hotspur are in for a tough afternoon when they host Aston Villa on Saturday.

Vlad Chiriches has claimed that Aston Villa's eagerness to secure their Premier League status as soon as possible means that Tottenham Hotspur are in for a difficult test on Saturday.

Despite accepting that Villa and the in-form Christian Benteke will be tough opposition at White Hart Lane, Chiriches believes that Mauricio Pochettino's side should be targeting seven victories from their final seven games.

"I've seen Benteke and he's on fire," the Romanian told the club's website. "I think we're going to have a difficult game on Saturday because Aston Villa are fighting for survival and they will make it tough for us, but hopefully we can manage to put on a good performance and win the match.

"I think we have the quality to win all the games that we have left and if we play to the best of our ability the victories will come."

Chiriches is expected to start at right-back in the absence of the injured Kyle Walker.
