Sheffield Wednesday manager Dave Jones admits that performances alone are not going to be enough to keep his side in the Championship.

Sheffield Wednesday manager Dave Jones has admitted that his side's match with Barnsley is "massive".

The former Cardiff City boss, who has seen the Owls lose their last seven Championship games, insists that now is the time for his side to turn their fortunes around.

Jones told the club's official website: "Is this a massive game? Yes - but they all are at a club like Sheffield Wednesday. We will approach this game in the right manner and I'm sure Barnsley will too.

"Both teams are desperate for the points and the pace will be fast, it will be frantic and the live TV cameras are there for added spice.

"All the ingredients are there and we now need to start turning the performances into results."

Wednesday currently sit in 23rd place in the Championship table.
