Atdhe Nuhiu: 'Manchester City display has given us belief against Arsenal'

Sheffield Wednesday's Atdhe Nuhiu believes that his side can take confidence from their display against Manchester City last season in their match with Arsenal.

Sheffield Wednesday forward Atdhe Nuhiu has claimed that his side can use their narrow defeat to Manchester City last season to inspire them to an upset against Arsenal in the League Cup.

The Owls were hammered in their first clash of the season against City in the Capital One Cup when they lost 7-0 to Manuel Pellegrini's men, but they were drawn against them in the FA Cup later in the campaign and only lost to a late strike from James Milner at the Etihad Stadium.

Nuhiu, who scored in the contest, believes that his side can lift the level of their game against the Gunners to produce a shock and advance to the fifth round of the competition.

He told reporters: "We will take a lot of hope and inspiration from that game into this tie. City are one of the biggest clubs in football, but we matched them for long periods and proved to ourselves that we can take even the top teams all the way.

"And there will be no pressure on us because everyone expects Arsenal to win. We have got nothing to lose, so we can just go out and enjoy it.

"It will be great to play against such a big team, and I am positive that we can hurt them and cause an upset."

Wednesday face Arsenal at Hillsborough on Tuesday.
