Real Madrid skipper Sergio Ramos says that the 'door is open' should Neymar wish to join the club in the future.

Real Madrid skipper Sergio Ramos has declared that the 'door is open' for Neymar to join the club from Paris Saint-Germain.

The Brazilian striker became the most expensive player in history over the summer when he completed a £200m move to the French capital following a four-year stint at Barcelona.

The 25-year-old is already said to be regretting the move, however, and shock reports in recent days have suggested that he could be targeted by Madrid as a long-term replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo, who turns 33 in a few months.

"I like to have the best and it's clear Neymar is one of them," Ramos told Cadena Ser when asked about the links.

"Maybe it was easier for him to go to PSG, instead of directly to Real Madrid. They are personal decisions, you never know what can happen because football goes around a lot.

"I already have the door open for him if he wants to come. I also have a good relationship with him."

Neymar claimed two La Liga titles, the Champions League and three Copas del Rey during his time with the Catalan club.
