Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Angel di Maria makes clear that he would be open to any future interest from Barcelona as his "relationship with Real Madrid has ended".

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Angel di Maria has insisted that he "would have no problem playing for Barcelona", despite his links to arch rivals Real Madrid.

The Argentina international spent four years at the Bernabeu earlier in his career, winning the Champions League, La Liga and four other trophies.

Barca failed with an approach for Di Maria last summer, but reports suggest that they could reignite their interest when the transfer window reopens at the end of the campaign.

Asked if he would consider an offer to join the Catalan giants, Di Maria told French magazine So Foot: "My relationship with Real Madrid has ended. My cycle with them closed some time ago. Honestly, I would have no problem playing for Barcelona."

Di Maria left Madrid for Manchester United in a £60m deal three-and-a-half years ago, before moving on to PSG in 2015.
