Reading boss Brian McDermott insists that he is happy with his side's 1-1 draw at QPR on Sunday.

Reading manager Brian McDermott has insisted that he is happy with the 1-1 draw that his side earned at Queens Park Rangers on Sunday.

Kaspars Gorkss put the Royals ahead at Loftus Road, but they were pegged back just after the hour as Djibril Cisse struck in what was a battle of the Premier League strugglers.

"I thought we were excellent at times, we really dug in and this is never an easy place to come," McDermott told Sky Sports News. "Everton have got a draw here, Chelsea have got a draw and we take a draw today."

Reading, who are still without a win in the league this season, remain in 18th place in the table.
