Midfielder has been linked with a transfer to the Ligue 1 giants.

Watford midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure admits he is flattered to be linked with a move to Paris Saint Germain but looks set to stay at Vicarage Road until the summer.

The 26-year-old has been a reported target for the Ligue 1 champions for some time after a string of impressive performances for the Hornets.

Doucoure, who moved to Watford from Rennes three years ago, was named the club's player of the year last season.

Now the former France Under-21 is targeting a move to a club in the Champions League but appears to be going nowhere in the January transfer window.

"I am flattered by their interest but for the moment there is nothing concrete," Doucoure told Canal Football Club.

"I want to do my season at Watford. Aside from that, it is true that I have heard rumours. I'm concentrating on my performances with my club.

"There has not been any contact, Watford have not been contacted by PSG. It is just things in the press.

"It is true that PSG's project interests me, being from a Paris region. My aim is play well with Watford and then why not join a club playing in the Champions League?"

Thomas Tuchel's PSG sit 13 points clear at the Ligue 1 summit having won 16 of their opening 18 games and remain unbeaten.

They take on Manchester United in the Champions League round of 16 next month, but Doucoure does not think he will be turning out against the Red Devils in that tie.

"I would say that it is very weak," he replied when asked on the chance of moving to the French capital in the current transfer window.

"PSG are looking at quite a few players and I do not think that I am their priority. If there is that possibility, of course we will look at it."
