Paris Saint-Germain attacker Javier Pastore denies reports that he has said goodbye to teammates ahead of a potential January exit.

Paris Saint-Germain attacker Javier Pastore has denied reports that he has already bid farewell to his teammates in advance of the transfer window re-opening.

The 28-year-old has been tipped for an exit from the Ligue 1 side after making just eight starts in the first half of the current campaign in the wake of the big-money summer arrivals of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

PSG are thought to be prepared to let Pastore go for a fee of around £18m as they look to balance their books, and last week a report suggested that the Argentine said goodbye to his colleagues before they broke up for Christmas.

"It's a lie to say that I have said goodbye to my teammates," Pastore told Mundo Deportivo. "I've always thought about playing for this club and doing the best I can every time.

"In recent games, I've played a lot and I'm happy. I still have a year and a half left on my contract, and I'm very calm.

"I was looking for more playing time, it's true. The coach makes the decisions and I have to make sure to keep improving to get some PSG playing time."

Pastore has been in the French capital since 2011, during which time he has won four Ligue 1 titles and seven domestic cup competitions.
