Newcastle United defender Ciaran Clark is reportedly a £5m target for Premier League rivals Crystal Palace.

Crystal Palace are reportedly preparing a £5m bid for Newcastle United defender Ciaran Clark.

The Eagles are believed to be after a new right-back and centre-back before the transfer window closes in just over a week's time.

According to The Sun, Clark has been targeted by Roy Hodgson because of his Premier League experience, having also represented Aston Villa in the top flight.

Newcastle are said to be willing to cash in on the Republic of Ireland international, although a loan move could also be an option.

Clark has made 67 appearances for United since joining from Villa in August 2016, including 11 league outings last season.
