Report: Alan Pardew won't quit post as Newcastle United manager

Alan Pardew reportedly has no plans to walk away from his job as Newcastle United manager.

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew reportedly has no plans to step down from his role at St James' Park, despite increasing pressure on his job.

The 53-year-old's position has come under question following the Magpies' poor start to the season, which has consisted of two draws and two defeats in the Premier League.

Following Saturday's 4-0 loss to Southampton at St Mary's, there were suggestions that Pardew's time could be up, but it is believed that owner Mike Ashley will stand by the coach for the time being.

According to The Chronicle, Pardew will not step down, and yesterday it was business as usual as he took training at the club's Benton base alongside assistant boss John Carver and first-team coach Steve Stone.

Reports have claimed that Ashley will be in attendance at St James' Park to watch Newcastle's match against Hull City this weekend.

Pardew signed an eight-year contract with the Magpies back in 2012.
