Newcastle United, Norwich City charged by Football Association

Newcastle United and Norwich City are charged by the FA for failing to control their players.

Newcastle United and Norwich City have been charged by the Football Association for failing to control their players during a recent match at Carrow Road.

The charge relates to an incident on January 28 when both sets of players were involved in a brawl as the teams played out a goalless draw in the Premier League.

Norwich's Bradley Johnson and Newcastle's Loic Remy were sent off at the time.

"Both Norwich City and Newcastle United have been charged by The FA for failing to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and/or refrained from provocative behaviour," read an official statement.

The two clubs have until 6pm on Wednesday to respond to the charge.
