Kevin Mbabu: 'Newcastle United not concerned by poor form'

Kevin Mbabu says that he and his Newcastle United teammates are not concerned about their dismal Premier League form.

Newcastle United defender Kevin Mbabu has claimed that he and his teammates are not concerned about their form, despite failing to win a single Premier League game in eight attempts this season.

Steve McClaren's side are currently at the bottom of the table following five defeats and three draws.

The club's misery was compounded further when they suffered a 6-1 loss to Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium last weekend.

Aleksandar Mitrovic scored the opening goal in the first half, but that was as good as it got for the Magpies as Sergio Aguero went on to score five times, while Kevin De Bruyne also added to the tally.

"We're not really concerned," the Chronicle quotes Mbabu as saying. "We did really well in the first half. If you look at the first half, you think we can win soon, and we have a great opportunity against Norwich to win."

Newcastle's arch rivals Sunderland are on the same points as McClaren's side.
