Ian Holloway thrilled by Millwall win

Millwall boss Ian Holloway hails his side for getting back to winning ways in the Championship with a 1-0 win at Brighton.

Millwall boss Ian Holloway has praised his players for their "magnificent performance" during Friday's 1-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Lions, who were thrashed 5-1 by Middlesbrough last weekend, earned a narrow triumph at the Amex Stadium as Lee Gregory's early goal made the difference.

The result has lifted Millwall up to 17th place in the Championship table, five points clear of the relegation zone.

"It was a magnificent performance, what a comeback from us after Saturday," Holloway told BBC Sport. "I thought we played really well and deserved the points.

"Now it's onwards and upwards, let's see if we can get two in a row. My team have done me proud since I've been here, let's keep building and try to get up the other end of the table."

Holloway's side continue their league campaign on December 19 when they entertain Bolton Wanderers.
