Millwall boss Neil Harris praises players' fighting spirit against Charlton Athletic

Millwall manager Neil Harris says that the spirit of his players was "phenomenal" following their comeback 2-1 win over Charlton Athletic.

Millwall interim manager Neil Harris has described his players' fighting spirit as "phenomenal" following their late 2-1 win over Charlton Athletic at The Den this afternoon.

The Lions are four points adrift of safety in the Championship after Magaye Gueye and Jos Hooiveld scored in the second half to snatch victory.

"I made the team a promise that if we performed as we could, we would win today," Harris told the club's official Twitter page. "I'm delighted for them. I thought we were outstanding in the game. Their goal was a blow but our spirit was phenomenal.

"We didn't give up and kept trying to do the right thing. The fans work hard and pay their money to come and see us. Their support has been brilliant.

"The belief is there. The players have made that for themselves. I trust them. It's a special feeling, but I'm just delighted for the players. Watford is our next game and that is now our focus."

Millwall have six games remaining in their season.
