Barcelona 'among 20 clubs' interested in Guillermo Ochoa

Guillermo Ochoa's agent claims that up to 20 clubs, including Barcelona, are interested in signing the Mexico goalkeeper following his performance against Brazil.

The agent of Guillermo Ochoa has claimed that he has spoken to Barcelona and as many as 20 other clubs about the possible signing of the Mexico goalkeeper.

Ochoa is a free agent after leaving French side Ajaccio following their relegation at the end of the season, and put himself in the shop window with a man-of-the-match display in the 0-0 World Cup draw with Brazil.

His representative, Jorge Berlanga, has admitted that Ochoa's performance against the tournament hosts has piqued interest in his client and, although Barcelona are believed to have turned down his services, there are plenty of teams keen to acquire the 28-year-old.

Berlanga told Mediotiempo:: "I have spoken with Barcelona, yes, in the same way that I have done with 20 other teams. I spoke about the possibility of Memo, I offered him to Barcelona, that is true.

"The match that Memo played against Brazil changed everything because the World Cup shows you to the whole world.

"We will keep on having conversations with the teams that we were already in touch with, but we will also listen to those that have started to approach me now."

Premier League sides Liverpool and Arsenal are among those believed to be keeping an eye on Ochoa.
