Manchester United will look to strengthen three other positions after signing midfielder Donny van de Beek from Ajax, according to a report.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly determined to further strengthen Manchester United's squad with three more signings once a deal for Donny van de Beek is concluded.

The Red Devils are expected to confirm the arrival of Ajax ace Van de Beek in the coming days in a transfer worth around £40m.

After bolstering his midfield options, The Times claims that Solskjaer will then turn focus to bringing in players in three other troublesome positions.

A new centre-back is said to have been targeted before the transfer window shuts on October 5, as well as a right winger and a striker.

However, United will first have to move on some first-team players, with Jesse Lingard and Andreas Pereira being linked with the Old Trafford exit in recent weeks.

Borussia Dortmund attacker Jadon Sancho is widely considered to be Solskjaer's primary target, but the Bundesliga club are refusing to budge on their £108m valuation.
