Jose Mourinho: 'Eric Bailly again not in squad'

Eric Bailly will not be in Manchester United's matchday squad for Saturday's Premier League clash with Crystal Palace.

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has revealed that Eric Bailly will once again not be in the matchday squad for Saturday's Premier League clash with Crystal Palace.

Bailly impressed during his first season at Old Trafford following a 2016 move from Villarreal, but injuries harmed his 2017-18 campaign and he has been out of favour at the club this term.

Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur have both been credited with an interest in the Ivory Coast international, who could seek a move away from United at the start of 2019.

Mourinho has confirmed that Bailly has been left out of the squad for a fourth successive Premier League match this weekend, but the centre-back could face Young Boys in the Champions League next week.

"I can tell you because he already knows, tomorrow Eric is not playing and not even on the bench. But don't be surprised that next Tuesday he plays," Mourinho told reporters.

Bailly has made seven United appearances this season but has not featured in the Premier League since October 6.
