Juventus willing to pay £19m for Matteo Darmian?

A report claims that Manchester United full-back Matteo Darmian is a £19m target for Juventus, but the Red Devils are holding out for more than £26m.

Juventus have reportedly made Matteo Darmian one of their top transfer targets and are willing to pay Manchester United over £19m to land the full-back.

The Italian champions already have an eye on the summer window as Stephan Lichsteiner and Kwadwo Asamoah are due to see their contracts expire.

According to The Sun, attention has turned to Darmian - already strongly linked with domestic rivals Roma - but the Red Devils will refuse to do business unless their valuation is met.

United are said to be holding out for £26.5m in a straight cash deal, but Juventus have instead proposed a 12-month loan from the summer, before handing over £19.25m in a permanent deal next year if all parties are happy.

Darmian is keen to quit Old Trafford after struggling for minutes this term, featuring just seven times in the Premier League and Champions League, and he would supposedly welcome a reunion with ex-AC Milan chief Massimiliano Allegri.
