Matteo Guendouzi 'ready to quit Arsenal'

Midfielder Matteo Guendouzi, an alleged target for a number of high-profile clubs, is reportedly happy to leave Arsenal during the next transfer window.

Matteo Guendouzi has reportedly told Arsenal that he would be happy to leave the Emirates Stadium at the end of the season.

Although the Frenchman was once seen as one of the club's top youngsters, the 21-year-old has failed to build on a promising start in North London.

To add to his inconsistency this campaign, Guendouzi showed a lack of discipline against Brighton & Hove Albion last weekend, while it was alleged that he gloated about the wages he receives at Arsenal.

After being dropped for the trip to Southampton, The Mirror claims that an internal meeting led to the midfielder requesting an exit from the Gunners.

The report says that Guendouzi feels that he is not trusted by recently-appointed boss Mikel Arteta after finding himself in and out of the starting lineup.

Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona, Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan have all been suggested as potential destinations.
