Declan Rice - an alleged target for Chelsea and Manchester United - is unhappy with West Ham United pricing him out of a summer move, according to a report.

Declan Rice is reportedly unhappy with West Ham United effectively pricing him out of a summer move.

The 22-year-old excelled for the Hammers during the 2020-21 campaign before playing a key role in England's run to the final of this summer's European Championship.

Chelsea and Manchester United are both believed to be interested in Rice, who still has three years left to run on his contract at the London Stadium.

However, West Ham are allegedly not prepared to entertain offers of under £100m for the midfielder, which has all but priced him out of a move during this summer's transfer window.

According to The Telegraph, Rice is frustrated with the Hammers over the high valuation and is prepared to run down his contract at the London Stadium in order to force his way out of the club.

The report claims that the Englishman is desperate to play Champions League football and compete for trophies, while he is unhappy with West Ham's lack of summer transfer business.

Rice has made 146 appearances for West Ham in all competitions, contributing five goals and five assists, and captained the team in their 2021-22 Premier League opener against Newcastle United last weekend.
