Matteo Darmian 'not thinking about Manchester United exit'

Italian full-back Matteo Darmian insists that he is not considering leaving Manchester United in the January transfer window.

Italian full-back Matteo Darmian has insisted that he is not considering leaving Manchester United in the January transfer window.

The 26-year-old hardly featured for Man United in the early stages of the 2016-17 campaign, but an injury to Antonio Valencia has seen the full-back drafted into Jose Mourinho's first XI in recent weeks.

Inter Milan have been credited with a firm interest in the Italian international, but Darmian has denied suggestions that he will seek a move away from Old Trafford in the winter transfer window.

"Jose Mourinho wanted to cast me out? I've read things like that, but I don't think it's true," Darmian told Sky Italia. "I keep going on my way, working to improve and give the coach a selection headache. I'm not thinking about the transfer window, it's still too early."

Darmian has started Man United's last three games in all competitions.
