David Ginola urges Manchester United to avoid signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic

Manchester United should not sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the summer, according to ex-Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur winger David Ginola.

David Ginola has encouraged Manchester United to steer clear of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Reports have suggested that the Swede, who will be a free agent in the summer, would be open to the prospect of moving to Old Trafford, particularly if manager Louis van Gaal is relieved of his duties.

However, former Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United winger Ginola has insisted that the Red Devils should keep faith with their young attackers, rather than swoop for the experienced frontman.

"He is reaching 35 and is probably at the end of his career," Ginola told talkSPORT.

"I don't think it should be an option for Louis van Gaal or whoever is in charge next season.

"It is better to build a team around the youth and what they are doing at Man United right now with Rashford, Lingard and Martial, I would rather see that."

Ibrahimovic is currently in Manchester preparing for Paris Saint-Germain's Champions League tie against Manchester City this evening.
