Mikel Arteta pleased with Arsenal's response to Liverpool thrashing

Arsenal star Mikel Arteta says that his side can draw positives from their 0-0 draw with Manchester United.

Arsenal midfielder Mikel Arteta has declared that he is pleased with the way his team responded to their 5-1 mauling at the hands of Liverpool.

The Gunners held Manchester United to a goalless draw in their next outing, a match from which the Spaniard believes his side can draw plenty of positives.

"They are a very solid side, they make it hard for you and they work really hard for each other but we had some great play, we pressed really high," The Express quotes him as saying.

"The team looked really committed after the hard result we had at Liverpool and it was a good reaction from the lads, but unfortunately we were unable to win the game.

"But we can take a lot of positives and the reaction of the team after what happened on Saturday was very good."

Arsenal lie in second place in the Premier League table, one point behind leaders Chelsea, following their draw with United.
