Zlatan Ibrahimovic urged to slow down in recovery?

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is reportedly urged to slow down by doctors as he bids to recover from a serious knee injury.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has reportedly been told to slow down by doctors as he continues his recovery from knee surgery.

The 35-year-old picked up the cruciate knee injury towards the end of last season while with Manchester United, where he has remained during his recuperation.

United decided not to take up an expensive 12-month option on the Swede following the injury but have now begun talks with him about a new deal for the second half of the season once he has recovered.

According to The Sun, however, the club's medics and Ibrahimovic's American specialists "think he could be overdoing it" as he looks to get back playing as soon as possible and have urged him to tone it down.

In recent clips posted to his Instagram account, the striker was seen undergoing an intense gym workout, while paparazzi photos of his summer break showed him diving acrobatically off a yacht.

Prior to his injury, Ibrahimovic was in blistering form for United, scoring 28 times in 46 appearances in all competitions.
