Sergio Aguero's long-term future at Manchester City is in doubt, with the striker 'growing disillusioned' at the Etihad Stadium, according to a report.

Sergio Aguero's long-term future at Manchester City is reportedly in doubt, with the striker 'growing disillusioned' with Pep Guardiola's rotation policy at the Etihad Stadium.

Aguero, 29, has been rotated with Gabriel Jesus in the final third of the field this season, and it was the young Brazilian who was given the nod to start the Manchester derby earlier this month.

According to the Daily Mail, City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak met with Aguero during the summer to discuss his concerns, and the experienced striker does not think too much has changed during the 2017-18 campaign.

The report claims that City are desperate to keep their leading scorer, but Aguero is considering his future at the club that he joined from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2011.

The Argentine has scored 13 times in all competitions for City during the 2017-18 campaign.

Barcelona and Real Madrid have both previously been credited with an interest in the centre-forward.
