Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis says that a deal with Manchester City for the transfer of Italy international Jorginho could be done in the "next few days".

Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has suggested that Jorginho's proposed move to Manchester City could be arranged "in the next few days".

Italy international Jorginho has reportedly been Pep Guardiola's key target for the summer and despite rumours of Napoli staving off interest from the Sky Blues, club president De Laurentiis has now moved to state that talks between the clubs have been positive regarding the 26-year-old.

"I think the deal can be done in the next few days," De Laurentiis told The Sun. "Everything is possible as we have a good relationship with Manchester City and their people but we must negotiate.

"We are still not in agreement over the price for the player but we'll be near to the conclusion as they made an effort in the last few days'."

Jorginho has made 133 appearances for Napoli since joining the club from Verona in 2014.
