Kevin de Bruyne's agent 'furious' about Manchester City snub reports

Kevin de Bruyne's agent Patrick de Koster hits out at reports that the Wolfsburg star has snubbed Manchester City.

Kevin de Bruyne's agent has hit out at reports that the Wolfsburg forward has decided against a move to Manchester City.

The former Chelsea man appeared to pledge his future to the Bundesliga side during a Sport Bild award event, telling reporters that he will "definitely play for Wolfsburg this season".

However, De Bruyne's representative Patrick de Koster claims that his client was lured into making the comments, adding that he is "furious" with the press for putting him in "an awkward position".

He told Sky Sports News: "I am furious by what has happened tonight. Kevin wanted to show respect by attending this event.

"No decision has been made on Kevin's future in this transfer window. We have yet to find out if Wolfsburg has reached any agreement with a club.

"Kevin remains a Wolfsburg player, and is focused on his job at the club. He also remains happy at Wolfsburg."

Reports suggest that City have tabled a £45m bid for Belgian international De Bruyne.
