Manchester City defender Micah Richards believes that his side just did enough to get the better of West Bromwich Albion in their victory at the Etihad Stadium.

Manchester City defender Micah Richards feels that his side just did enough to deserve their victory over West Bromwich Albion.

Edin Dzeko scored the only goal of the game in the first half to strengthen City's grip on second place in the Premier League.

"I wouldn't say it was a great performance but we got the job done in the end," Richards told ESPN. "West Brom came here and played some good football.

"We always want to play Champions League football and with Chelsea breathing down our necks – it was a must win game today."

City face off against Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup final on Saturday.
