Aston Villa are reportedly not prepared to sell John McGinn, who has been linked with Liverpool, during this summer's transfer window.

Aston Villa will reportedly reject any approaches that might arrive for John McGinn this summer, amid suggestions that Liverpool are interested in the Scotland international.

McGinn enjoyed an impressive 2020-21 campaign for Dean Smith's side, scoring three times and contributing six assists in 37 Premier League appearances.

Liverpool are believed to be considering a move for the midfielder, as the Reds look to bring in a replacement for Georginio Wijnaldum, who has left the club to join Paris Saint-Germain.

However, according to the Express & Star, Villa have no interest in allowing the Scot to leave the club during this summer's transfer window and will rebuff any offers.

McGinn still has more than four years left to run on his contract with Smith's team, who are allegedly open to selling Jack Grealish ahead of the 2021-22 season.

Grealish continues to be linked with Manchester City, and the Englishman's representatives are thought to be confident that a £100m deal will go through after Euro 2020.
