Liverpool 'want Mario Balotelli to agree behaviour clauses'

Mario Balotelli will reportedly need to agree to behaviour clauses in his contract in order to join Liverpool from AC Milan this summer.

Liverpool have reportedly told Mario Balotelli that he must agree to abide by a code of conduct before sealing a move to Anfield from AC Milan.

The Italy international, who spent three years at Manchester City before joining Milan in January 2013, is poised to return to the Premier League this summer.

Widespread reports have claimed that Liverpool and Milan have agreed a £16m fee, but talks are ongoing regarding personal terms.

According to The Guardian, the Merseyside outfit have inserted a number of behaviour-related clauses in Balotelli's contract in a bid to protect the club from any future misconduct from the controversial striker.

The 24-year-old has experienced issues with previous managers, including Jose Mourinho at Inter Milan and former City boss Roberto Mancini, and has also made headlines for his off-field activity.

Liverpool are keen to recruit a new striker before the transfer window shuts in 10 days' time following the departure of Luis Suarez to Barcelona.
