Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah claims that his side's first-half strikes made their eventual 4-1 win over West Ham United "easy".

Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah has said that his 21st-minute strike was integral to his side enjoying an "easy" win over West Ham United at the London Stadium this afternoon.

Salah broke the deadlock midway through the first half and that lead was swiftly doubled by Joel Matip three minutes later before Manuel Lanzini's second-half strike briefly gave the home side hope.

However, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain restored Liverpool's advantage just 57 seconds later, and Salah added a second of his own with 15 minutes remaining to put the seal on a comfortable win.

"We started the game very well and scored in the beginning which helped us to make the game easy. It's a good result in the end," the Egypt international told BT Sport.

"I was confident to come to England again but I have to carry on."

Salah has now scored 12 goals across all competitions since joining Liverpool from Roma in the summer.
