Liverpool draw Stoke City, Manchester City to face Everton

Everton will face Manchester City while Stoke draw Liverpool in the League Cup semi-finals.

Everton have been drawn against Manchester City, and Liverpool will face Stoke City in the semi-finals of the League Cup.

The Toffees progressed to the last four after beating Middlesbrough last night, while Manuel Pellegrini's side, who won the competition two years ago, thrashed Hull City.

Stoke City are in the last four for the first time since 1972, when they lifted the trophy, while Liverpool had to come from behind to beat Southampton 6-1 earlier this evening.

The semi-finals will take place over two legs in January.
