Winston Reid content with taking Liverpool to replay

West Ham United defender Winston Reid insists that he is happy enough to bring Liverpool back to Upton Park for a replay following their FA Cup draw at Anfield.

West Ham United defender Winston Reid has set his sights on reaching the fifth round of the FA Cup when they welcome Liverpool to Upton Park in a replay next month.

The two sides played out a goalless draw at Anfield this evening to set up the replay, with Liverpool creating the better chances despite making 10 changes to their side.

Reid was impressed with how the hosts' youngsters played, but also expressed a tinge of disappointment at not being able to finish the tie off on the day.

When asked whether he was happy with the result, Reid told BT Sport: "Yeah, under the circumstances of the game.

"We kept a clean sheet which is always positive, but we couldn't put it in the back of the net, and that's the way it goes sometimes. Obviously we would have liked to have won today, but [Liverpool] played well today, even though they changed a lot of their team.

"The young players played well. We obviously couldn't get the goal today, but we'll take them back to Upton Park and hopefully get a win."

West Ham have now failed to beat Liverpool in any of their previous seven meetings in the FA Cup.
