Lazio eye Ruiz as Milinkovic-Savic successor?
Lazio allegedly identify Real Betis midfielder Fabian Ruiz as the replacement for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, should the latter leave the Serie A outfit.

Lazio have allegedly identified Real Betis midfielder Fabian Ruiz as the replacement for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, should the latter leave the Serie A outfit.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Lazio chiefs are preparing for the departure of their star midfielder, who has been linked with a switch to several top European clubs.

The source adds that Lazio are willing to activate Ruiz's release clause to bring the 21-year-old to Rome, ahead of potential bids for Milinkovic-Savic in the summer.

Ruiz began with Betis B, before making the step up to the senior squad in July 2016.

The midfielder spent time on loan at Elche in the second half of last season, before settling back with his parent club at the end of last term.
