David Wagner heaps praise on goalkeeper Jonas Lossl

Huddersfield Town manager David Wagner praises Jonas Lossl for making two late saves during his side's 1-0 win over West Bromwich Albion.

Huddersfield Town manager David Wagner has credited goalkeeper Jonas Lossl with earning his side all three points during this afternoon's Premier League clash with West Bromwich Albion.

Rajiv van La Parra scored the only goal of the game at the John Smith's Stadium, but the Terriers had to hang on for the victory after Christopher Schindler was shown a red card with more than half an hour remaining.

Lossl was not truly tested until the closing minutes, when he made a couple of fine saves in quick succession, and Wagner believes that his alertness at such a late stage is a sign of his quality.

"[Lossl] was there when we needed him. For 85 minutes he didn't have anything to save, but then he was there with two world-class saves and this is high quality," he told reporters.

"It was his fifth clean sheet and an important one because if you have a clean sheet and score once you have three massive points."

The victory lifts Huddersfield into the top half of the Premier League table, with only the Manchester clubs and Arsenal having amassed more home points in the top flight this season.
