Hamilton midfielder wary of 'desperate' Dundee

Tom Taiwo has promised there will be no complacency at Accies.

Tom Taiwo insists guarding against complacency has underpinned Hamilton's approach to Saturday's clash with bottom side Dundee.

The Dens Park men are rooted to the bottom of the Ladbrokes Premiership on zero points after seven straight defeats in all competitions and the pressure piling on boss Neil McCann.

A win for Accies would take them nine points clear of the struggling Dark Blues.

However Taiwo will take nothing for granted.

The former Hibernian and Falkirk midfielder said: "The big word all week is complacency and there will be none of it.

"We had a great game against Celtic and then played St Johnstone and didn't do ourselves justice.

"We are trying to guard against that and hopefully recreate the same performance that we did against St Mirren last week.

"The lads are delighted with the result but just as importantly it was a good performance as well."

Taiwo, who joined Hamilton in the summer, expects the struggling Taysiders to be doing "everything they can for a win".

The 28-year-old added: "I have been in situations before where you are trying to find that win and sometimes it takes a scrappy game, a scrappy goal.

"At the moment we have had one good game and that doesn't make a season.

"So we are looking to recreate last week but more importantly Dundee are going to be desperate for the win.

"We know what happens when teams are desperate, they can push that little bit harder and things can fall your way. We just have to make sure it is us coming out victorious on Saturday."
