Kit Symons eyes Alan Curbishley partnership?

A report claims that if Kit Symons is given the Fulham manager's job, he would like Alan Curbishley to join the club as a director of football.

Kit Symons would reportedly like Fulham to appoint Alan Curbishley as the club's director of football, should he be named the Championship side's manager on a permanent basis.

Welshman Symons has been in temporary charge of Fulham since the sacking of Felix Magath last week.

He has made it known that he would like the job on a permanent contract and has even identified Curbishley as the perfect man to provide him with advice from a technical position, according to the London Evening Standard.

Curbishley had a similar role at Craven Cottage earlier this year, but he stepped down after Magath was appointed to the helm.
