Everton's John Stones praises Brendan Galloway's debut performance

Everton defender John Stones admits that he was impressed by Brendan Galloway's debut performance against West Ham United last weekend.

Everton defender John Stones has expressed his belief that young Brendan Galloway played like an "experienced" professional when he made his debut for the club on Saturday.

The 19-year-old, who joined the Toffees from MK Dons last summer, slotted into left-back in Leighton Baines's absence during his side's 2-1 victory over West Ham United at Upton Park.

"We just told him to go out and play his game - he has the ability to do that and he was very focused before the game," the Liverpool Echo quotes Stones as saying.

"Brendan definitely showed what he is about and, for me, he looked like an experienced player out there and he more than played his part in the win."

With one game left to go in the Premier League, Everton are 10th in the table.
