Everton will be looking to set a new club record when they face Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday evening.

Everton will look to set a new club record when they face Fulham in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

While the Toffees have endured an up-and-down season, Frank Lampard's side currently occupy 12th position in the standings, four points clear of the relegation zone.

On the back of three successive defeats, the Merseyside outfit bounced back with a 3-0 triumph over Crystal Palace last time out.

Everton have now collected eight points from six home matches this season, three more than they have accumulated in the same amount of away games.

Nevertheless, that return on the road is the 10th best in the division, and Lampard will hope that it provides his side with confidence to finally improve matters in the capital.

When Everton lost 2-0 at Tottenham Hotspur earlier this month, it represented their 85th Premier League defeat in London, the most suffered by one team in the division.

On a more positive note, Everton emerged victorious the last time that they visited Craven Cottage, prevailing by a 3-2 scoreline in November 2020.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin netted twice to help establish a 3-1 lead for his side after 35 minutes before they eventually held on for a well-earned win.

However, since the first league meeting between the two sides in 1949, Everton have never recorded back-to-back away league victories against Fulham.

Over the past 11 years, though, Everton have posted three successive league successes against Fulham on two occasions, the most recent occurrence being spread over five years between 2013 and 2018.

From Fulham's perspective, Marco Silva - a former manager of Everton - will hope that his team can become the first Cottagers side since 1966 to score at least three goals in three successive top-flight encounters.
