Roy Hodgson wants to see out England contract

Roy Hodgson is determined to see out his four-year contract with England and even hints that he could stay in the role beyond the 2016 European Championships.

Roy Hodgson intends to remain England manager until the end of his contract in 2016 and has even hinted that he could stay in the role beyond his current deal.

The 66-year-old, who was appointment in May 2012, is signed on to be the Three Lions boss until after the 2016 European Championships in France.

"I signed a four-year contract and I've always been working myself towards that four-year contract," Hodgson told reporters.

"Whether contracts mean four years when you sign them or not, that's not anything to do with me. That would be other people's decisions.

"I shall be working hard to fulfil the contract and hope that the FA will fulfil their side of it. And another one after that? Who knows?"

Jose Mourinho is the 8-1 favourite with bookmaker StanJames to be the next England boss.
