England among top seeds for Euro 2016

England are included in Pot One for the Euro 2016 draw, while Wales and Northern Ireland are both consigned to Pot Four.

England have been placed in Pot One for Euro 2016 following their perfect qualifying record.

Roy Hodgson's side won all 10 of their matches in Group E to become the first nation to book their place at next summer's tournament in France.

They have subsequently been rewarded with a place among the top seeds, alongside holders Spain, world champions Germany and the hosts.

Belgium, who will become the world's top-ranked team next month, are also in Pot One, while Portugal make up the numbers.

Home nations Wales and Northern Ireland are included in Pot Four despite the former being ranked above England in the world standings.

The Three Lions could face Italy for the third major tournament in succession after the Azzurri were included in Pot Two with the likes of Russia, Switzerland, Austria and Croatia.

The draw for the group stages is due to take place in December.
