Chelsea fan 'involved in racism incident' described as "gentle boy" by family

The family of a Chelsea fan who was allegedly involved in Tuesday's racism incident in Paris is described as a "lovely gentle boy" by his family.

A Chelsea fan who is alleged to have been involved in a recent racism incident in Paris has been described as a "lovely gentle boy" by his family.

Josh Parsons, 21, has been named by national newspapers as one of the supporters situated in the train carriage where Chelsea fans shoved a black man back onto the platform in the Paris Metro.

Video footage from Tuesday evening has emerged showing a group of Chelsea supporters preventing the man from boarding the train and chanting, "we're racist, we're racist and that's the way we like it," prior to the Blues' 1-1 draw with Paris Saint-Germain in the last 16 of the Champions League.

There has been no suggestion that Parsons participated in the chanting or shoving, and his aunt Louise has spoken to the London Evening Standard about the finance firm worker.

"He is a lovely boy and has never been in any trouble," she told the publication. "He is a lifelong Chelsea fan and that has never been a problem.

"I have seen the footage but have not yet spoken to him. We do not know what to make of it but it is a shock to the family. He is a lovely gentle boy who would not hurt anyone."

Souleymane S, who claims to be the man who was allegedly racially abused by the group, has called for the perpetrators to be "locked up" in prison.
